Country Parlour Cafe (Caudwell's Mill) - Rowsley

Cafe

This water mill, which dates from the 1870s, is a working tourist attraction that still mills flour. It also features a craft centre, with glass-blowing, ceramics and woodturning.

The on-site cafe is vegetarian, and apparently is very popular with families.

A lot of the food contains cheese, but there are always vegan options, such as Hummous rolls, Pea and mint soup, a range of Salads, and baked potatoes with a variety of fillings. They also have vegan and gluten-free cake options. Nothing costs more than a few pounds. Tea, coffee and cold drinks served.

The mill and craft centre are open: 1 April to 31 October, 10am to 6pm, 1 November to 31 March, 10am to 4.30pm. Closed from Christmas eve to Boxing Day. The cafe serves food 10am - 5pm.
